We are seeking a dynamic and achievement-oriented Community Engagement Officer for a short-term opportunity to lead community engagement activities in collaboration with Coordinators and Project Managers, and other members of our Community Consultation and Engagement Team.
About The Role:
As a Community Engagement Officer, you’ll support the design and delivery of community engagement and consultation activities across a range of Council projects and services.
You’ll work closely with staff across the organisation, Elected Members and key stakeholders to ensure our community is informed, included and heard. This includes preparing communication materials, updating engagement platforms, coordinating meetings and contributing to a consistent and positive customer experience.
You’ll be part of a collaborative team that’s passionate about creating meaningful connections and delivering great outcomes for our community.

In this role, you’ll take the lead in designing, delivering, and managing community consultation and engagement activities, ensuring every project is delivered to a high standard and within agreed timeframes.

The Community Engagement team ensures the voice of our community are heard through the beginning, middle and end of key projects. The team monitor feedback through the online YourSay platform and other channels, allowing residents and visitors to have their say on what matters most.
The Detail:
The position is offered on a short-term full-time, fixed term contract, concluding on 29 May 2026, and is classified at Level 6, with a starting salary of $111,989 per annum + Super + Annual Leave Loading.
