About The Role:
As the Community Information Officer - Ageing Well, you will play a key role in bringing this new approach to life and helping shape how Council supports its community to age well. You will be the first point of contact for older residents, their carers and families, and a trusted person people turn to when they need clarity, reassurance and a way forward in what can often feel like a complex and overwhelming system.
Whether in person, by phone or online, your focus will be on creating positive, respectful experiences where people feel heard, valued and confident in their next steps.
Working closely with our Community Connector, you will be a reliable source of information, turning your knowledge of aged care and community services into clear, practical and compassionate guidance and helping people find the right support.

Our Ageing Well team sits within our Community Connections portfolio and supports older residents across our community to access services and resources that enrich their lives and foster a strong sense of wellbeing.
As we transition from the Commonwealth Home Support Program, we are reshaping our role, focusing on prevention, connection and enabling older people to remain active in their communities, while positioning Council as a connector, advocate and enabler.
The Detail:
The position is offered on a full-time, fixed-term basis until 30 June 2027, and is classified at Level 3, with a starting salary range of $85,929 per annum + Super + Annual Leave Loading.
A current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (Police check) must be maintained for the duration of the employment period in this prescribed position.
