Our Community Safety Team is focused on adopting a proactive and contemporary approach to effectively deliver a broad range of regulatory related activities, while ensuring a positive customer experience. Actively engaged within the community, the team builds strong relationships with key stakeholders and customers by offering accurate information and guidance to support compliance with legislative requirements.

Adopting a customer centric approach, the Community Safety Response Officer role will apply an education, encouragement and enforcement approach to ensure Council’s legislative responsibilities in regard to effective parking management and responding to reactive prioritised Community Safety requests that require attendance outside of business hours.
This position is offered on a fixed-term, part-time basis working over a 14-day roster cycle; up to 21 hours per fortnight until 30 November 2025.
The role is classified at Level 2, with a salary range of $74,758 to $81,269 per annum (pro-rata) + Penalty Rates + Super + Annual Leave Loading.
To be considered for this role, you would need to be available between Monday - Friday 5pm - 9.30pm, Saturday 9am - 9.30pm and Sunday 9am - 8.30pm.
A current unprohibited Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (Police check) must be maintained for the duration of the employment period in this prescribed position.
