About The Role:
This is a great opportunity to play a key role in supporting the Financial Services function at the City of Charles Sturt. As our Debtors and Rates Officer, you will help administer Council’s accounts receivable activities, ensuring debtor management, invoicing, receipting, adjustments, journals, direct debit administration, debt recovery and bank reconciliations are completed accurately, efficiently and in line with our internal controls.
You will maintain accurate financial records, investigate and resolve routine discrepancies, prepare debtor reporting and support the timely recovery of outstanding revenue. You will also respond to debtor and Rates enquiries, provide clear guidance on invoicing, receipting and payment arrangements, and escalate more complex matters where required.
When capacity permits, you will also provide agreed administrative support to the Rates team, such as data integrity checks, records management, routine correspondence and other finance-related support tasks. About Our Team:
The Financial Services team are responsible for delivering an efficient and effective finance function for the organisation. Services include financial reporting, strategic management accounting, budgeting, long term financial planning, taxation and internal control.
The Detail:
The position is offered on a full-time, permanent basis and is classified at Level 3, with a starting salary of $88,507 per annum + Super + Annual Leave Loading.
