About The Role:
Our Gardeners are skilled in horticultural maintenance and are passionate about making our City a place that means the world for our community.
As a Gardener, a typical day would involve activities to maintain and enhance our parks, gardens and streets, including mowing and detailing, planting of small trees and shrubs, pruning, drip irrigation, mulching and weed control.
We currently have a full-time permanent vacancy working a standard 9 day fortnight.

About Our Team:
City Maintenance are equipped to care for open spaces in our beaches, reserves and parks, ensuring they are maintained and up to standard. This diverse portfolio is passionate and skilled in areas including property management and repair, irrigation, biodiversity, arboriculture, trees and sports turf, as well as program scheduling and contract support.
The Parks and Biodiversity team is responsible for maintaining local parks, streetscapes, open space areas, biodiversity sites and nominated Council properties. The team provide and maintain innovative, accessible and flexible public places and spaces that are fit for purpose for our community.
The Detail:
We have a full-time, permanent vacancy classified at Grade ME5, with a starting salary of $75,209* per annum (*salary effective 7 July 2025) + Super. The benefits of joining the City of Charles Sturt also include:
