About The Role:As an Irrigation Construction Team Member, you will work part of the team responsible for various labouring and machine operation tasks in the construction of high-quality irrigation at Council open spaces. Tasks include use of plant and machinery, assembling and laying irrigation pipework, turf restoration, and general labouring. The position is part of a cross-Council collaboration between the Cities of Charles Sturt, Port Adelaide Enfield, and Marion, and as such, project and maintenance works are performed across all three Council areas.This role is crucial to the progress of significant projects across the Council areas, with team members expected to complete works on time with quality standards, leading to exceptional outcomes for the community.The team have delivered notable projects to the community including complete renewals of the irrigation at Seacliff Golf Course for the City of Marion, EP Nazer Reserve for City of Port Adelaide Enfield and John Kelley Reserve for City of Charles Sturt.About You: You have an MR Licence and white card; A trade certificate, or equivalent experience, in Irrigation, Horticulture or Landscape Construction; Tickets in excavator or back-hoe are highly desirable; andYou display a focus on safety and a positive team culture.About Our Organisation: The City of Charles Sturt is a vibrant community home to more than 120,000 people across 105 different cultures.
