About the Team
Our Community Development team provides safe, welcoming and inclusive environments where the community can connect and engage in activities that enhance wellbeing and strengthen community capacity. This is undertaken across Council’s six community centres, the Brocas Youth Centre and within the community. The team uses a community development approach to empower community members and create stronger and more connected communities.

As a Community Development Officer, you will contribute your experience and leadership to strengthen communities ensuring they are engaged and actively participating in community life. You will thrive in a flexible environment and will develop services, events and offerings to progress community connections within the Charles Sturt area.
The position is offered as a part time, fixed-term contract working 60 hours per fortnight (0.8FTE) until 9 June 2025.
This position is classified at Level 5, with a salary range of $100,774 - $105,111 per annum (pro-rata) + Super + Annual Leave Loading.
