The team are active in the community building positive relationships with key stakeholders and customers by providing accurate information and advice that support legislative alignment, permit assessments and hall and reserve bookings. About the JobWith a key focus on delivering a great customer experience, the Community Safety Officer role will contribute to developing and maintaining a high level of community safety through a balance of education, encouragement and enforcement. This position is responsible for undertaking a range of activities in order to facilitate compliance with a number of Acts and Council By-laws, maintaining the safety of our community and the amenity of our City. We invite you to join our Community Safety Team and provide a real difference to support our vibrant and dynamic community.About youWe are seeking applications from candidates who bring:Comprehensive knowledge and experience administering legislation relating to Local Government, including but not limited to the Local Government Act, Dog and Cat Management Act, Australian Road Rules, Local Nuisance and Litter Control Act and Council By-laws, or demonstrated practical experience working with and interpreting legislation.Solutions orientated, highly self-motivated and passionate about delivering positive community outcomes and a great customer experience.Demonstrated experience working in a team environment and contributing to a high performing team culture. Current C Class Drivers Licence.A commitment to building and maintaining personable and professional relationships with a positive outlook, including the ability to handle and effectively resolve customer conflict.
