We seek people passionate about what they do and who thrive on seeking creative solutions.About the vacanciesWorking as part of our Civil Maintenance team, we currently have a number of vacancies for Concrete Paver Finishers who will be responsible for the preparation and construction of concrete and maintenance work, paved and concrete footpaths, cross overs, kerbs and ramps. The Concrete Paver Finishers will undertake maintenance work as required, including concrete grinding, general labouring and vehicle driving duties on a variety of construction and maintenance business unit projects within the Council.We also have a vacancy for a Field Leader – Concrete, a position responsible for leading a small work team to schedule, supervise and deliver works to successfully deliver concrete maintenance and project works.About youWe are seeking applications from candidates who have:A strong safety focus, to ensure own safety and that of others in the workplace;Proven experience in civil construction and civil maintenance operations;Demonstrated experience in concrete finishing footpaths and kerb and gutter construction;Proven experience in the preparation and construction of segmental paving to required standards;Experience in plant and equipment associated with civil construction and civil maintenance operations;Experience in, or interest in leading others (for the Field Leader – Concrete vacancy); andA current MR Truck Licence and White Card Accreditation. We have multiple permanent and fixed term vacancies available. The positions are classified between the ME4 and ME7 level with a salary range of $62,483 to $67,217 per annum plus superannuation.
