The impact of your work will benefit our community for generations to come.About the JobThe Development Officer (Senior ABS) participates at a high level in the legislative, administrative and functional processes necessary to achieve complying standards of building construction and public safety; as well as to achieve a high quality of development appropriate to the urban context, interests and needs of our community.In consultation with the Team Leader, this role is responsible for providing professional building Surveying advice as part of the development assessment process in relation to stormwater design and finished floor level heights, crossovers, stobie poles and land divisions.About You:Comprehensive depth of knowledge and experience as a Building SurveyorA recognised qualification enabling you to have a minimum accreditation as Building Level 1Detailed understanding of relevant Codes, Acts, and RegulationsA confident decision maker, with demonstrated ability to assess development applications - including for complex, multi-storey buildingsHighly developed interpersonal skills with a strong focus on delivering excellence in customer experience, and working collaboratively with othersThis position is offered on a permanent, full-time basis and is classified at Level 7, with a salary range of $103,398 – $109,648 per annum + Super. Our enterprise agreement negotiated salary increase will also be applied in late August 2022.
