We seek people passionate about what they do and who thrive on seeking creative solutions.About the TeamOur Fleet Services team takes pride in maintaining and repairing Council’s fleet assets, ensuring the efficient and effective running of our vehicles, plant and equipment so that we can deliver an outstanding service to our community.About the JobWorking as a Diesel Mechanic in our team, you will deliver excellent customer service performing emergency, remedial and preventative maintenance to a wide variety of plant and equipment within budget and time constraints, and to approved quality and legislative requirements.Whilst most of our Fleet is Diesel, there will be an opportunity to work on some of our other Fleet powered by other fuels as required. About You:Agricultural/Plant or heavy mechanic trade qualifications are essentialProven experience in plant, agricultural or fleet maintenance is essentialGreat customer services skills, together with your ability to work as a positive and constructive team memberA current ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence is essentialA current heavy vehicle licence (MR or higher) or willingness to obtain one is also essential This position is offered on a permanent, full-time basis with standard working hours of 76 hours per fortnight, worked over 9 days. The position is classified at Level ME7, with a salary range of $67,217 to $68,509 per annum (negotiable, based on experience) + Annual Leave Loading + Super.
