To be successful in this role you will need to be able to work in a flexible environment that can have a level of ambiguity and possess excellent communication and organisational skills. Collaboration is key to success in this role as you will work closely with the Executive Assistant to the Mayor, to ensure that the CEO and Mayor are kept informed and supported to undertake their high profile roles. You will also be required to build and maintain effective relationships across the City of Charles Sturt, in particular with the Executive and Senior Leadership teams and the Elected Members, as well as fostering relationships with key external stakeholders & agencies. You will receive and triage calls from residents, answering a variety of questions with tact and diplomacy, taking messages, and directing calls appropriately for resolution.Diary, email, and correspondence management are critical to ensuring the CEO is able to manage a busy schedule. As such you will need strong attention to detail, great judgement and initiative to know what is urgent and important and have the ability to research and draft correspondence, reports, presentations and other documents for the CEO. The CEOs Office works in a highly electronic environment with workflow familiarity important.Given the Office of the CEO incorporates the Innovation and Performance function and supports the Manager Innovation & Performance, a focus on identifying opportunities to improve business & system processes that have a focus on enhancing the customer experience, will also lead to success in this role.About the TeamAs a member of the Chief Executive Office, you will report to the CEO. This small team consists of a Performance and Innovation team, as well as the Executive Assistant to the Mayor.
