That is, what means the world to us.About the teamThe City Clean team works as part of the City Maintenance Business Unit providing both programmed and reactive services of public litter and waste removal, rapid response services, and general labouring including asphalt maintenance, asphalt repairs, and large patch work at sites across the Council area. About the jobWe currently have a people leadership opportunity for a Field Leader – City Clean.Leading a small work team, the Field Leader will provide coordination support to the Workgroup Leader in the organisation and delivery of the Council’s public litter function, rapid response service and asphalt maintenance and repair teams.Demonstrating a positive outlook and a safety first culture, our Field Leaders are expected to encourage and demonstrate the Council’s Field Services objectives of Safety Leadership, Operational Excellence, Customer Experience and People Experience.About youWe are seeking applications from individuals who have:A strong safety focus to ensure their own safety, and that of others in the workplace;Experience in overseeing works and leading others in a civil construction environment;A positive outlook and good communication skills when interacting with colleagues and members of the community;Flexibility to work across weekends and outside of ordinary operating hours with a willingness to perform a variety of tasks;Certificate III in Civil Construction or demonstrated equivalent experience; andA current MR truck licence, white card accredited and work zone traffic management are essential, with tickets in working at heights and confined spaces highly regarded.The Field Leader – City Clean position is classified at the ME8 classification level.
